Meet Your Captains
Cal Stevens, US Coast Guard 100 Ton Master, is a 5th generation fisherman, born and raised on the sea in the quintessential fishing village of Five Islands, Maine. From his home port, Cal has fished for lobsters, ground fish, shrimp, and tuna with his father and grandfather since the age of 5. His experience on the water ranges from lobstering in the Sheepscot Bay, to delivering sailing vessels to the Caribbean, to ocean bound tanker operations as far as the Mediterranean. Cal a licensed Marine Systems technician, knows these waters well and is most at home behind the wheel of a boat on the ocean. He will be one of your captains aboard his fathers’ 32’ Holland, Gratitude, and is excited to share his generational stories, lobstering, and local knowledge of the islands. Cal holds a Maine Lobster Harvesting Demonstration License.

Katrina Raymond, US Coast Guard 100 Ton Master/1600 Ton Near Coastal Mate, is a mistress of the sea. Growing up on the coast of Maine, she feels most at home humming sea shanties while enjoying her time basking in the mystical lore of the ocean. Her previous work after graduating Maine Maritime Academy kept her offshore in the Pacific on submarine search and rescue vessels, in the Gulf of Mexico on multi-purpose supply vessels servicing oil platforms, and working on tugboats in near coastal waters up and down the Atlantic coast. Katrina has spent time teaching deep sea fishing and snorkeling to many a soul in the warm Florida Keys and is looking forward to sharing her knowledge of Maine folk-lore, lighthouses, and lobsters with you. She is a licensed Marine Systems and Diesel Technician. On her off-time she is a self-proclaimed artist, creating nautical paintings and mixed-media art from recycled materials. Katrina’s art can be purchased at local shops.
